Happy Birthday Loki!
I can't believe he is 8 years old. Me nerves. Loki's predecessor, Merry, lived to be 15. I hope Loki can pull that off :-)
It has been quite awhile since I used my Elinchrome D-lite studio lights! I have been depending on my Canon speed lights to a great extent when I am shooting food, along with a variety of reflectors and, of course, natural light!
Because today is Loki's birthday, I thought I should blow the dust of the studio lights and take a birthday portrait. I managed to get a few nice shots, but I had to say "treat" a lot!
One of challenges to doing a portrait of a husky is fur. They are fur factories. I heard someone say once that you should only get a husky if you consider fur to be a condiment! Not far from the truth actually. I find it everywhere. It floats around as though it is alive. Impressive. (I am thinking this posting will result in fewer people coming for supper now!!)
These photos were taken with an 85 mm f/1.8 Canon prime lens. This lens takes reeeeally nice portrait shots. I did some post processing in Lightroom and PS6.
