Forget-me-nots were my Mom's favourite flower. I never see them without thinking about her.
I am pretty sure everyone has a similar someone, whom they are pleasantly reminded of when they see forget-me-nots.
My mother-in-law had an impressive green thumb. She grew a lot of things from seed. I saw her green house chockablock full of strawberry plants one year, all of which came from one seed she kept from a strawberry she was eating.
My grandmother was also blessed. I loved her windows as a kid because they were always full of tomatoes.
My husband knew more about local plants than anyone I know when we first met, waaaaay back in the day. It was one of the things that impressed me about him. He thinks I've out-learned him, but, tragically, I haven't (Ssshhhh. Don't tell him though. I like to encourage that kind of thinking).
Adam recently had his first attempt with growing something from a seed. Forget-me-nots. Worked out quite well for him and it gave me something pretty to photograph :-)
