This recipe is definitely simple! And they are very tasty (which may have something to do with the butter...NOT margarine. NEVER margarine).
It just occurred to me that I could call this blog "Butter. NOT margarine. NEVER margarine". I realize that my love of butter may come back to bite me in the butt at some point. The good news is, I will still be able to sit down!
At the time, we didn't get it. We get it now. Trendsetter, that Nan of mine.
Nan also loved Chinese food. I think she was really impressed with the taste, but also with the amount of effort that went into making it. I am with her on the effort part. It is a lot of work!
I once asked Nan "If you could do it all over again, what would you do differently?". She said "I would have done less housework". Words of wisdom that I took to heart.
My hubby has said, on occasion, that he wishes Nan had not said that. I bet he wishes she had said "I would have been a millionaire". Oh well. :-)
