I think I may take clover for granted though. I don't think about it a lot through the winter. If you were to ask me what my favourite flower is, I might not mention clover.
But, when I smell a field of clover I am suddenly a kid in Labrador, school is just out, and the summer lies ahead. Sigh :-)
Remember when you were a kid and someone would hold a buttercup under your chin and declare "yup, you like butter"?
Did anyone not like butter? I suspect no such human ever existed!
I have a soft spot for lupins because their name comes from the Latin word for wolf.
My totem is a wolf.
It was assigned to me by my elders, during a peyote-induced frenzy, in the desserts of Arizona. No, that's not right. It was assigned to my by my kids and hubby during a ice-cream-induced brain-freeze, while driving along the highway, on our way camping. Yeah, that sounds more like it :-)
