Glad to say that it was accepted and I am now processing and submitting photos to iStock. Sweet! I am hoping to have some uploaded in the next week or so. Contributor name is cpjanes :-)
To celebrate, I recently hired a model to do a photo shoot with me. Okay, I paid my youngest offspring to do a photo shoot with me. Same thing. Except he is better looking than most models!
It went really well and I learned a whack of things.
For starters, my youngest offspring really has a good instinct for photography, lighting, composition, etc. I was impressed.
Third, if you move the kitchen table out of the room so you can get a better shot, you had better watch out for the chandelier.
And finally, my dog sheds A LOT! Okay, so I already said that one. But the exaggeration benefits garnered from repeating it are directly proportional to the amount that he sheds, so I thought I would go for it one more time.
By the way, there are 28 goals on my list. As of today, I have completed 11, am reconsidering 9 and have yet to complete 8.
It occurred to me at the end of each quarter that, were I still working as an Inspector with the CFIA, I would have to do a variance report to explain any incomplete goals. Soooo don't miss that!
Although, there are working-outside-the-home habits that I do try to keep. Like getting up early. And getting dressed up for work. Despite the fact that I only have to go from the bedroom to the office, with a slight detour to the coffee maker. I think those two habits help to keep me focused. And focused is not a bad thing, especially for a photographer!
