And a couple of days ago it was fog. Dissipating. Retreating. Going away. And in such a pretty fashion!
I have been pretty wrapped up in baking (and eating!) the past few weeks and haven't taken much time to do any outdoor shots.
Paradise. Newfoundland and Labrador.
"Atlantic Canada's fastest-growing municipality" it says on the town website. I guess I am antiquated because that doesn't sound so good to me.
It was once a delightful little town.
When I moved here in 1982 (shut up!) there wasn't much here. I think there were a couple of corner stores and a gas station.
Now, for the most part, it is a sea of rooftops. Getting to work in the morning sees too many cars squeezing through too few roads and results in just the right amount of cussing.
But there is one reprieve on my side of Paradise. Octagon Pond Trail. A place to peddle bike or walk the dog and escape the vehicular insanity. It takes only a few minutes to get there from my house and it is instant heaven.
Octagon Pond Trail is one of the good things that has resulted from all the lovely people that reside underneath all the new rooftops; the larger tax base has enabled the development of the trail.
And that is certainly a good thing!
Now, what am I going to do with that last pound of butter?
